Two English text books will be introduced to Grade one and two next year in an effort to improve the English Language among children.
At present there are English text books for students of Grade three and above and these books are introduced to give a sound knowledge of English from Primary years.
The Education ministry is exploring the possibility of providing a CD with the text book to make education interactive and interesting. Plans are underway to implement this as a pilot program.
This will be carried out to increase the literacy among children and also promote new learning methods.
